Lora Fay (Williams) Kittle, 92, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

She was born August 13, 1924 the daughter of Buel and Della (Campbell) Williams near Stahl, Missouri. On January 22, 1942 she was united in marriage to Lee R. Kittle and to this union two children were born, Thresa Lee and David Allen.

Lora is survived by her two children, Thresa Burrus of Kirksville, MO and David Kittle and wife Judy of Novinger, MO, three grandsons, Shannon Bowen of Queen City, MO, Michael Kittle and wife Penny of Novinger, MO, and Dustin Bowen and wife Heather of Queen City, MO, five great-grandchildren, Kayya Kittle and fiancé Tyler Johnson of Novinger, MO, Dakota, Jamie, and Bryce Kittle all of Novinger, MO, and Chyanne Bowen of Springfield, MO, one great-great-granddaughter, Emma Jeanne Johnson of Novinger, MO, two sisters-in-law, Colleen Weinberg and Lena Mauck, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lee of 72 years, her parents, two brothers, Adrian and Richard Williams, one sister Marie Mock, and one grandson, Jason Bowen.

Lora lived her entire life in Adair County, 63 years of which were on the farm northwest of Novinger. She worked at P.N. Hirsh Co, Florsheim Shoe Factory, and McGraw Edison retiring to the farm in 1976.

Horseback riding and mule riding were her favorite pastimes. She had been a member of the Northeast Missouri Trail Riders and the Willmathsville Wagon Masters. She and her daughter Thresa even rode from Queen City, MO, to Fort Madison, IA, all be themselves, camping along the way. Lora enjoyed their yearly trail rides to south Missouri, the last one being in 2007. She took her last mule ride on her 89th birthday. She enjoyed the family and cooked Sunday dinner for all for over 45 years. She loved the outdoors, cutting wood, gardening, collecting rocks, and mowing the lawn. She could be seen around the farm with paint brush in hand. She will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Alan Coonfield officiating. Interment will follow the service at Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, MO.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, for one hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Bowen, Michael Kittle, Dustin Bowen, Dakota Kittle, Jamie Kittle, and Amos Martin.
