Maude "Marie" (Pinnell) Ranz, 93, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Kirksville Manor Care.

The daughter of the late Joseph Arthur and Ada (Godat) Pinnell, she was born October 28, 1923 in Granite City, Illinois. In 1974 in St. Ann, Missouri, Marie was untied in marriage to Jack Ranz who preceded her in death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by two sisters.

Marie is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Carol Daugherty of Novinger, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dennis Reynolds of Granite City, IL; seven grandchildren, Ann Brendel, Joseph Daugherty (Angela), Frank Brendel, Sara Nelson (Jeff), Tracy Billington, Timothy Berry, and Amy Reynolds; thirteen great-grandchildren, Emily Berry-Daugherty, Kelsey Daugherty, Sofia Nelson, Cadence Fehr, Alexis Billington, Landon Berry, Averi Berry, Kyler Brendel, Chelsea Brendel, Carly Brendel, Tryke Koehler, Cole Koehler, and Tori Koehler; as well as one great great-granddaughter, Makenna Jewel Fehr.

Marie was a graduate from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Missouri. She was a finance director for the United States Air Force at the Air National Grand-Lambert Field.

Marie was a member of St. Clair Catholic Church of St. Clair, Missouri, Daughters of Isabella, NARFE, Missouri National Guard Association, 131 Tactical Fighter Wing NCO and Airman Club, and of the Elks Lodge #2651, St. Clair, MO.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville, with Monsignor David Cox presiding. Interment will take place at St. Clair Cemetery in St. Clair, MO.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 with a liturgical vigil service, including recitation of the rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Daugherty, Timothy Berry, Shane Fehr, Frank Brendel, Butch Sandstrom, and Ray Dean Sandstrom.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Marie Ranz may be made to Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.

Family will receive friends Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with graveside services following at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Clair Catholic Cemetery in St. Clair.
