Teresa Mae "Terri" (Scarberry) Travis, 56, of Atlanta, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at her home under Hospice care and family by her side.

Born May 28, 1961 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Terri was the daughter of Escar Ray and Janet Ruth (Kenimer) Scarberry. On August 17, 1988 in Colorado Springs, CO, Terri was united in marriage to Donald E. Travis.

She was preceded in death by her father Escar Ray Scarberry.

Terri is survived by her husband Donald of thirty years; her mother Janet Dickerson and husband Jim of Florence, AZ; one son and daughter-in-law, Justen Dene and Donna Travis of Macon, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica Lynn and Thomas Rogers of Wimberley, TX, and Cassandra and Michael Steiman of Macon, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Mitzi and Randy Watson of Prescott, AZ; seven grandchildren, Kylie Wycoff, Trenton Travis, Eva Travis, Kaycin Travis, Karter Steinman, Evan Rogers, and Nolan Rogers, as well as nephew, Randal Watson and wife Jennifer, and one niece, Sarah Fugitt and husband Lee.

Terri was a graduate from LaVeta High School in LaVeta, Colorado. She was employed twelve years as an IT systems analyst for Colorado Access Health Insurance Company until 2016 when her health failed. At that time she and her husband moved to Atlanta, Missouri, to make their home on the farm, where she enjoyed reading and deer hunting. Terri was most happy when surrounded by her grandchildren and family and will be missed by so many.

She was a member of the Community of Grace Church in Aurora, Colorado, was active in Vacation Bible School, with March of Dimes, Meals on Wheels, and for Operation Christmas Child.

It was Terri's wish to be cremated and a celebration of her life will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Terri Travis may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
