Rex Allen Conner, 57, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at University Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri.

The son of Tomas Edward and Betty June (Williams) Conner, Rex was born June 5, 1960 in Kirksville, Missouri. He was united in marriage on February 12, 1977 in Novinger to Kathy Jean Baird, who survives.

Rex is also survived by one son, Thomas Wayne Conner of Novinger; two daughters, Misty Dawn Conner and Fiancée, Andrew Souder of Marshall, Missouri, and Shawnda Kay Conner and Fiancée, Barry Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri; three brothers, Tim Conner and Edie of Kirksville, Chuck Conner and companion, Jim of St. Louis, Missouri, and Clarence Conner and wife, April of Novinger; one sister, Pamela Sis Morehead and Ruby of Novinger; five grandchildren, Riley Branstetter, Rustin Branstetter, Tanner Johnson, Cody Conner, and Reece Branstetter, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rex received his education in the Novinger School District. He was employed by the City of Kirksville for 38 years. Rex was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, farming and visiting with friends in his garage. Rex loved his family and grandkids very much.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Dodson officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, Missouri.

A public visitation will be held 12:00 until the time of the service Sunday, November 5, 2017 in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Trevor Baird, Dake Bradley, Scottie Roan, Les True, Marion Miller, Scott Eitel, Dennis Branstetter, and Chris Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Riley Branstetter, Rustin Branstetter, Reece Branstetter, Tanner Johnson, Kean Roan, Kody Roan, and Kolton Roan.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Rex Conner may be made to Hospice of Northeast Missouri. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
