Bruce Wayne Waddle, 62, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Born October 22, 1955 in Kirksville, Missouri, Bruce was the son of the late Junior D. and Norma Jean (Barrickman) Waddle. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Larry Waddle, and three sisters, Connie Jean Waddle, Karla Jo Waddle and Janet Nihiser.

Bruce is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joshua and Karah Waddle of Wentzville, MO, and Wesley and Lisa Waddle of Moberly, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Adam Pieknik of Hercules, CA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Susie Waddle and Jeff and Marilyn Waddle all of Kirksville, MO, and Mike and Laurie Waddle of Greentop, MO; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Karen and Raymond Phipps of LaPlata, MO, and Kathy Hurst of Kirksville, MO; seven grandchildren, Kendrick Waddle, Cole Waddle, Annabelle Pieknik, Gage Waddle, Hudson Waddle, Liam Waddle and Georgia Pieknik; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Bruce was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1973. He lived a life of service to this community, first as a firefighter at the Kirksville Fire Department and then as a nurse at Preferred Family Healthcare. He had a passion for helping others, and spent most of his days volunteering at the Helping Hands Mission in Kirksville. When Bruce wasn't helping his friends at the Mission, he enjoyed researching his family's genealogy, collecting antiques, and restoring furniture. Bruce was most happy sitting on the bank fishing with his dog, Colee, and competing at Mule Shows with his family and friends.

Bruce was a devoted member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kirksville, where he was active in mission work.

Public visitation will be held Sunday, October 29, 2017 with family receiving friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kirksville, with Larry Speaks and Chris Edwards presiding. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Waddle, Drew Waddle, Joey Waddle, Alan Phipps, Brad Hurst, and Tyler Street.
