Verna Belle (Davidson) Wright, 90, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday (January 18, 2017) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville.

Verna was born February 23, 1926 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of Olin Howard and Leota Gladys (James) Davidson.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Cecil Wayne Wright Jr., one brother, Francis "Bud" Davidson and sister-in-law, Eileen Davidson.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Randy Hamilton of Kirksville, MO; five grandchildren, David Wright, Brian Hamilton, Jenny (David) Trampp, John Wright, and Tim (April) Wright; and eight great-grandchildren, Austin, Hannah, Jacob, and Emma Trampp, Allison, Autumn, Dillan, and Willow Wright, and several nieces and nephews.

Verna received her education in the Kirksville public schools. She worked for several years at Sad Sam's and in the County Clerks office at the Adair County Courthouse. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were always on her mind. She spent endless hours devoted to their activities and interests.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (January 21, 2017) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Sheila Swafford officiating. Interment will follow the service at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville.

Family will receive friends on Saturday (January 21, 2017) for one hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Wright, Tim Wright, John Garlock, and David Trampp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Hamilton, Art Davidson, Mart Davidson, and Norman Davidson.
