Willadean (Mohr) Walker, 75, of Kirksville, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville.

Willadean was born November 24, 1940 in Arbela, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Willard Stanley and Claudean (Kapfer) Mohr. On May 31, 1959 in Arbela, Missouri, Willadean was united in marriage to Mervin Smith Walker Jr., who preceded her in death on February 9, 2006.

Willadean is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Jennifer Walker of Greentop, MO; two daughters, Teresa Mercer of Kirksville, MO and Evelyn Walker of Greentop, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Terri Mohr of Memphis, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Dixie and David Dalbey of Springfield, IL; five grandchildren, Alicia and Adam Mercer, Noah, Max and Ava Walker; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Emma Mercer; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous special friends.

Willadean was a graduate from Granger rural High School with the Class of 1958 and attended Kirksville State Teacher's College in Kirksville. She and her husband Mervin purchased Walker Mobile Homes in 1962. After Mervin passed away in 2006, Willadean continued to manage the business until 2012.

Willadean grew up on a Century farm in rural Arbela, MO. While a member of 4H, she raised several Grand Champion steers at Adair and Scotland County Fairs and the American Royal in Kansas City, MO. During high school at Granger, she enjoyed playing basketball, reading and earned the Valedictorian Award. She was baptized in the Arbela Baptist Church. Willadean enjoyed traveling, painting, eating out with family and friends, but most of all she was a very proud grandmother and great-grandmother and loved spending time with family.

Willadean was a member of the D.A.V. and a past member of Eastern Star and El Kadir Jewels. She was one of the first member's of Hamilton Street Baptist Church of Kirksville.

Public visitation will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton Street Baptist Church in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016, at Hamilton Street Baptist Church in Kirksville under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home. Reverend John Gorham will officiate the service and music selections "Precious Lord Take My Hand" and "How Beautiful Heaven Must Be" will be provided by John and Debbie Gorham. Interment will follow the service at Providence Baptist Cemetery in Williamstown, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Todd Johnson, Curtis Hicks, John Dalbey, Paul Dalbey, Brandon Mack, Gail Melvin, Joe Dixon and David Mohr. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Sellers, Neil Elliott, Alan Mohr, and Gene Bumgarner.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Willadean Walker may be made to Providence Baptist Cemetery Fund and may be left at Hamilton Street Baptist Church or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
