"Jack" John Joseph Delaney, 75, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Born March 18, 1941 in Kirksville, Missouri, Jack was the son of the late Virgil T. and Alice Josephine (Dye) Delaney. On January 28, 1983 in Kirksville, Missouri, Jack was united in marriage to Verlee G. (Lipper) Mihalovich. This formed the Delaney-Mihalovich Bunch. There were no step children in this Bunch.

Jack is survived by his wife Verlee of the home, three sons, Chuck Delaney (Kristi) of Troy, MO, Bret Delaney (Susan) of Sullivan, MO, and Darrin Mihalovich (Carla) of Greentop, MO, three daughters, Dawn Delaney Lewellen (Ron) of Greentop, MO, Dusti Mihalovich Acton (Jerry) of Brashear, MO, and Niki Mihalovich Dalton (Jake) of Bedford, IA, eighteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two sisters, Betty Wims of Wellington, MO, and Traci Hill (Todd) of Brashear, MO, a brother-in-law, Mike Long of Wellington, FL, one sister-in-law, Veronica Lowe (Gary) of Columbia, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, David Thomas Delaney, one sister, Jolene Delaney Long, a brother-in-law, Larry Wims, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Lola Lipper.

Jack lived all but one year of his life in Adair County, Missouri. He was a graduate of Brashear High School. He farmed northeast of Kirksville Missouri for over forty-five years, moving to Kirksville in 2007. Jack served on the Brashear School Board. He was a licensed real estate appraiser.

Jack was a member and past officer of the Kirksville Loyal Order of Moose. He enjoyed visiting with his family and grandkids, playing cards, casinos and happy hour.

Public visitation will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Sabbath Home Cemetery, northwest of Brashear, Missouri, with Pastor Darrell Draper officiating.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Delaney, Bret Delaney, Darrin Mihalovich, Colt Acton, Jacob Delaney, and Jake Dalton. Honorary pallbearers will be Garry Taylor, Jack Thomas, David Petre, and Jeremy Clay.
