Melvin Clifford "Cliff" Craig, 86 of Wheelersburg, OH passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the Bridge Port Rehab Center in Portsmouth. He was born November 24, 1929 in Kirksville, MO the son of the late Melvin and Victoria Smith Craig. Cliff was also preceded in death by his wife, Stella Mae Craig, five brothers Harvey, Merl, Dwayne, Berl, and Lloyd Craig and two sisters, Gertrude Pryor and Beaulah Pipes.

Cliff is survived by two daughters, Dr. Victoria (David) Provaznik of Wheelersburg, OH and Caroline (Andrew) Hanser of Seattle,WA; five grandchildren, David (Allie), Alex and Katie Provaznik, Parth Patel and Tracie (Stan) Choate; two great grandchildren, Austin and Logan Choate and two sisters, Jean (Gene) Nihiser of Mexico, MO and June (Terry) Kilgore, Milan, MO

Melvin was a Army Veteran, and had worked for the Missouri State Highway Department of Transportation. He was also an avid farmer who loved spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO, with Pastor Charles Jackson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Cheesman Cemetery southwest of Kirksville, MO. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Gailon Anderson, Jim Lippert, Rob Guffey, Rick Guffey, Jim Higgins and Eddie Schmitz.
