Gary Wayne Trueblood, 61, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at his home under Hospice care.

The son of Vern A. and Laona (Kraus) Trueblood, he was born May 14, 1954 in Kirksville, Misosuri. Gary was married to Sharon Young.

Gary is survived by his wife, Sharon; three step sons, Kevin Wayne Skaggs, Kody Snider and his sons, Ashton, Aden, and Aaren, and Kasey Snider and wife Lacy, and daughter, Hailey; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Cecil Shuey of Kirksville, MO, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jim Trueblood; granddaughter, Allie Snider, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Gary was a graduate of Kirksville High School and worked for a short time with the City of Kirksville until opening Trueblood Marina where he owned it until 1999. At that time he opened GT Auto operating it until the time of his death.

Gary enjoyed horses, fishing, hunting and collecting guns and motorcycles. He was a member of Freedom of Road Riders and a life member of the N.R.A.

Public visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will follow visitation on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor John Davison officiating.

Cremation will follow the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Crowder, Darek Fowler, Russell Pruett, Chuck Parks, John Anesi and J.B. Shoop.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gary Trueblood Memorial Fund. Donations may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
