Larry Dean Ellis, 49, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Friday, (December 2, 2016) at his home.

Larry was born January 19, 1967 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of George H. and Glenda L. (Ross) Ellis.

Larry is survived by his mother and step-father, Glenda and Charles Long of Purdin, MO; two step-brothers, Brian Long and wife Tanisha, and Brad Long and wife April all of Milan, MO; one aunt, Jeanette Scrivens of Novinger, MO; one uncle, Jerry Caldwell and wife Rosalie of Kirksville, MO, as well as several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Ellis and his grandparents.

Larry was a graduate from Kirksville High School. He was employed a number of years for the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Kirksville and was a member of the Salvation Army Church of Kirksville.

He enjoyed collecting guns.

Larry has been cremated and a Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (December 7, 2016) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Lt. Christina Tamayo presiding. Interment will be held at a later date at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, (December 7, 2016) for one hour before the Memorial service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
