Bonita Colleen (Arnold) Sutton, 67, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday (December 2, 2016) at the University Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Bonita was born March 3, 1949 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of the late Max and Wynona "Marie" (Johnson) Arnold.

Bonita is survived by two sons, Billy and Howie Sutton both of Kirksville, MO; three daughters, Rena, Patty and Amber Sutton all of Kirksville, MO; one brother, Lendal Arnold of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Sharon Egbert and husband Van of Mason City, IA; four nieces, Jackie Durham, Misty Arnold, Krysta Arnold and Rebecca Egbert; one nephew, William Egbert, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Darrel Arnold.

Bonita was a graduate from Brashear High School with the Class of 1967. She worked at Florsheim Shoe Factory, worked for over thirty years delivering papers for the Kirksville Crier before going to work for the food service department at Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville.
Bonita was last employed for Premier Home Health of Kirksville.

Bonita was well known throughout the community and loved by all. She was a biological mother to 5 children, but over the years hundreds called her mom. Her door was always open, and in her home everyone was treated like family. She had a way of loving those that society deemed unlovable and positively influenced many troubled youth.

Bonita loved gardening, sewing, and helping others. Bonita worked hard all her life, always working multiple jobs, and yet always found time to be there and care for others. When she entered the Kingdom of Heaven there is no doubt that the Lord met her and said "Well done, good and faithful servant".

Bonita was a member of the First Church of God of Kirksville. She did missionary work out of her home and not all over the world.

Bonita has been cremated and a memorial service will be held to honor her life Tuesday (December 27, 2016) at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Scott Grogg presiding.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday (December 27, 2016) from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her daughter Amber Sutton which will be used for a later memorial. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
