Larry Eldon Clay Sr., 68, of LaPlata, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Larry was born October 13, 1946 in Martinstown, Missouri, the son of Henry Eldon and Edna Lucille (Young) Clay. He graduated from Kirksville High School in 1964. On March 14, 1965 he married Jinnie Lynn Hunsaker in Kirksville.

Since 1979, Larry and Jinnie operated Clay's RV Sales and Service. Larry was passionate about campers and enjoyed all the friendships made during those years of service. His family shared many years of camping, creating memories that will last forever.

Larry is survived by his wife Jinnie of fifty years; three sons, Larry Jr. (Debbie), Russell (Angela), and Bryan (Katie), seven grandchildren, Tyler (Kristen), Travis, Adrienne, Austin, Addyson, Henry, and Hayden, two great-grandchildren, Rylea and Keegan, his mother, Lucille, siblings, Shirley, Imogene, Jerry, Mike, and Terry, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Clay.

Larry loved hunting, fishing, and driving the tractor. He took great pride in his garden, providing sweet corn, green beans, and tomatoes for his family. More than anything, Larry loved his family and spending time with his boys.

Public visitation will be held from noon to 1:00 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Saturday, September 26, 2015. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Hunsaker officiating. Larry will be laid to rest at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Mark Shen, Tim Wood, Robert Becker, Edward Becker, Drew Lock and Hank Gonnerman.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Larry Clay may be made to Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
