Evelyn Jane (Bailey) Copp, 78, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday (July 3, 2015) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The daughter of Fredrick and Opal (McElhinney) Bailey she was born July 3, 1937 in Lancaster, Missouri. On September 23, 1956 in Kirksville, Missouri, Evelyn was united in marriage to Harry Lee Copp who preceded her in death on October 25, 2008.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Russell Dean Bair; one brother, Bill Bailey and her son-in-law, Reagen Lee Tiberi.

Evelyn is survived by one son, Karl Copp of Trona, CA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cathy and Wesley Bair of Trona, CA and Dianna Tiberi of Kirksville, MO; one brother, Freddie Bailey of Kirksville, MO; three sisters, Mittie Ann Mosley of St. Louis, MO, Joyce Bergland of PA and Janet Valentine of Kirksville, MO; six grandchildren, Jayme Tiberi-Ramos, Niki Tiberi, Jayci Tiberi, Jessie Tiberi, Courtney Valentine, and Christoper Bair; fifteen great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews including Eric Long of FL.

Evelyn was a graduate from Kirksville High School and attended two years of college. After her marriage she spent over twenty years traveling with her husband during his Air Force military career. She resided in Las Vegas a number of years until returning to Kirksville nine years ago to make her home.

She enjoyed reading and traveling, but most of all she loved time spent with her children and grandchildren.

It was Evelyn's wish to be cremated and a private celebration of life to honor her will be held at a later date.
