Betty Jo (Pinson) Tarr, 80, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 at her home.

She was born November 15, 1934 in Edina, Missouri, the daughter of Lloyd and Berniece (Moyer) Pinson. On August 20, 1955 she married Donald E. Tarr in LaPlata, Missouri.

Betty is survived by her husband Donald of fifty nine years; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jim Leverington of Fayette, IA; one sister, Lois Bragg of LaPlata, MO; two grandchildren, Elaine and Thomas Leverington, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Betty was a graduate from Novelty High School with the Class of 1951. She was employed at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa until retiring in 1996.

Betty's wish was to be cremated and no public visitation or service be held. Her interment will take place at a later date at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.
