Glenna Mae (Hill) Barger, 87, formerly of Kirksville, passed away Thursday (September 4, 2014) at Kansas City Hospice and Pallative Care in Kansas City, Missouri.

Born January 10, 1927 to Ollis and Agnes (Stevens) Hill, Glenna attended Kirksville Senior High School after which she married Coe L. Barger on April 20, 1946. She remained a resident of Kirksville until relocating with her daughter, Kelly, in 2006. She resided at Good Samaritan Nursing Facility in Olathe, Kansas.

Glenna is survived by her children: Michael and Brenda (Jones) Barger of Ankeny, IA and Kelly Barger of Olathe, KS. Grandchildren include Robin Barger of Ankeny, IA and Bryan and Kristi (Williams) Barger of Jakarta, Indonesia. Great-Grandchildren are Libby Sheehan of Austin, MN, Josh Barger of Ankeny, IA, Colin and Kaelin Barger of Jakarta, Indonesia, and Great-Great-Granddaughter, Annabelle Sheehan of Austin, MN.

Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Fern Collins and Sybil Dye, her husband, Coe L. Barger and son-in-law, Thomas Hodges.

Glenna was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kirksville, and of the DAV and V.F.W. Auxiliaries. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and particularly loved antiques, auctions and yard sales. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (September 9, 2014) at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, with Curt Sparks officiating. Same day visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
