Robert Lee “Bobby” Skillman, 67, of Cameron, Missouri, formerly of Knox County, passed away Friday (June 13, 2014) at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron.

The son of Wilbur and Merle (Glass/ Gibbons) Skillman, he was born June 12, 1947 in Canton, Illinois.

Bobby is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Skillman of Canton, IL; three brothers, Jack Skillman of Belleveu, NB, Alan Skillman of Des Moines, IA and Gerald Skillman of Mt. Pleasant, IA; four sisters, Audrey Huffman of Kirksville, MO, Bonnie Wever of Hurdland, MO, Barbara Carroll of Florissant, MO, and Linda Strabley of Kirksville, MO, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, two sisters, two nieces and two nephews.

Bobby resided most of his life in Knox County, Missouri and was a graduate from Knox County High School. He served eight years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bobby had resided the past seven years at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, Missouri.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday (June 17, 2014) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe
Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (June 18, 2014) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Pastor Aaron Rodgerson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.
