Michael Lee Hutcheson, 65, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday (May 27, 2014) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of Russell Edgar and Lillie Winifred (Fiscus) Hutcheson, he was born February 13, 1949 in Kirksville, Missouri. On May 10, 1980 in Kirksville, Missouri, Mike was united in marriage to Cynthia DelaCruz.

Michael is survived by his wife Cynthia of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Giovanni and Paula DelaCruz of LasVegas, NV; three daughters and a son-in-law, Marla Kay and Toby Grosvenor of West Branch, IA, Estrella Lynn Hutcheson, and Genevieve DelaCruz both of Columbia, MO; two brothers and a sister-in-law, J.E. Hutcheson, and Leon and Willa Mae Hutcheson all of Kirksville, MO; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jolene Christopher of Athens, AL, Karen and Sammie Davis of Kirksville, MO, Debbie Hurley and friend, Bill Shoush and Rebecca Hutcheson all of Kirksville, MO; two grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Grosvernor and Ryan Michael Grosvernor, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Angela Michelle and one sister, Sharron in infancy.

Michael was a life long resident of Adair County and was a graduate from Kirksville High School. From 1968 to 1971, Mike served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, and also served in the National Guard a number of years. After returning home from duty in the service, Mike was employed thirty-eight years at Florsheim Shoe Factory until retiring in 1999.

Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR races.

He was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church of Kirksville.

Public visitation will be held Friday (May 30, 2014) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with a liturgical vigil service, including recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (May 31, 2014) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Father Chris Cordes presiding. Interment will follow the service at Mary Immaculate Catholic Cemetery at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Bryon Hutcheson, Todd Davis, Rusty Davis, Samuel Davis, Dakota Davis and Ryan Grosvernor. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Hurley and Luke Phillips.
