Leola Merla (Waddill) Lipper, 91, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday (May 2, 2014) at Parkside Manor Colonial in Columbia, Missouri.

The daughter of Lester D. and Gertrude Grace (Lowe) Waddill, she was born August 28, 1922 in Brashear, Missouri. On October 7, 1941, Leola was united in marriage to Clarence Lee Lipper who preceded her in death on July 8, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lyman Waddill.

Leola is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Veronica and Garry Lowe of Columbia, MO and Verlee and Jack Delaney of Kirksville, MO; four grandchildren, Brian Brahshaw and Darrin Mihalovich and Dusti Acton and Niki Mihalovich; eleven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Leola was a graduate from Brashear High School. She resided her entire life in Adair County and farmed along side of her husband. She moved off of the farm in 2008 to Kirksville to make her home. Leola was a care taker for many of her family and enjoyed cooking.

She was a member of the Sabbath Home Methodist Church.

Public visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday (May 6, 2014) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (May 7, 2014) at Sabbath Home Cemetery, east of Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Brian Bradshaw, Darrin Mihalovich, Tyson Bradshaw, Nick Bradshaw, Colt Acton and Jeremy Clay.
