K. June (Pipes) Goring, 93, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday April 25, 2014 at her home.

The daughter of S. Curtis and Orpha E (Truitt) Pipes, she was born June 24, 1920 in Green Castle, Missouri. She received her education and lived most of her life in Adair County.

June was united in marriage on June 30, 1937 to Herbert Daniel and they had two sons, JC and Bill Daniel. On September 28, 1963 she was united in marriage to Aly Goring and they had one son Bill Goring.

She is survived by three sons, JC Daniel and wife Jeanne of Sachse, TX, Bill Daniel of Branson, MO and Bill Goring and wife Marla of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Mary Lou Robinson and husband Bob of Golden, CO; seven grandchildren, Bryan Daniel and wife Lori of Russellville, AR, Kim Hill and husband Curt of Queen City, MO, Tray Daniels and friend Vicki of Wylie, TX, Chad Goring of Galesburg, IL, Mardi Smith and husband Troy of Kirksville, MO, Brad Purple of Panama City, FL and Whitney Purple and wife Georgia of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren and special friends, Gene Taylor and Mike and Laurie Waddle all of Kirksville, MO.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Aly Goring, her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

June worked at Beard’s Decorating Center for twenty-two years until her retirement and maintained a special relationship with her “Beard’s” family. She was a faithful member of Hamilton Street Baptist Church of Kirksville.

June was a spirited and independent woman that had a great love for life. She enjoyed antique auctions, quilting and spending hours tending to her beautiful flower garden. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren, as they were her life and reason for living. She was loved and will be missed by many.

Public visitation is in progress and family will receive friends this evening, Monday, April 28, 2014 in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (April 29, 2014) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Virgil Jones officiating. Music selections will be provided by Vee Rodgerson and Teah Cunningham. Interment will follow the service at Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, MO.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Daniel, Tray Daniels, Curt Hill, Chad Goring, Bry Daniel and Ethan Strunk.
