Phyllis Jeanne Morehead, 63, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Monday (March 31, 2014) at her home.

The daughter of Phllip John and Jeanne Kathryn (Searcy) Mihalevich, she was born February 15, 1951 in Kirksville, Missouri. On April 26, 1969 in Kirksville, Missouri, Phyllis was united in marriage to Benny Morehead.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Benny of forty-four years; two daughters, and sons-in-law, Michelle and Chuck Allen of Sturgeon, MO and Misty and Jeremiah Goings of Kirksville, MO; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Nancy Mihalevich of Kirksville, MO and Paul and Theresa Mihalevich of Columbia, MO; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Sharon and Harold Lloyd of The Villages, FL, Patti and John Blodgett of The Villages, FL, Marilyn Castiner of Kirksville, MO, Carolyn and Randy Collier of Waukee, IA and Diana and Bobby Lyons of Kirksville, MO; six grandchildren, Taylor Allen, Nicole Allen, Gracie Goings, Kaleb Goings, Abbie Goings and Jaidalyn Goings, as well as number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Phyllis resided her entire life in Kirksville, and was a graduate from Kirksville High School. She and her husband Benny owned and operated Quality Electric in Kirksville.

She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Phyllis was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville.

Phyllis has been cremated and her family will celebrate her life Friday (April 4, 2014), receiving friends from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Family Center at Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church of Kirksville. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
