Michael LaVon Martin, 59, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday (November 11, 2014) at his home.

The son of LaVon D. and Arlene (Ladwig) Martin, he was born July 23, 1955 in Milford, Delaware.

Michael lived his teenage years in Puyallup, Washington. He then moved to Kirksville. Michael was trained and worked at body and frame repair shops.

Michael is survived by his mother, Arlene Slostad, one sister and brother-in-law, Jodie and Ken Miller, one brother, Wayne Martin, nieces and cousins, and good friends Steve Long and Justin White.

He was preceded in death by his father LaVon Martin and grandparents Don Martin and Lena Moore, Warren and Josie Ladwig.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (November 18, 2014) at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, MO, under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville. No public visitation will be held.
