William Dorse “Billy” Shaw, 86, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday (October 12, 2014) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of James and Pauline (Fowler) Shaw, he was born March 23, 1928 in Kirksville, Missouri. On October 2, 1948 in Kirksville, Missouri, Billy was united in marriage to Patsy Ruth Kelso.

Billy is survived by his wife, Patsy of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dixie and Mitchell Welte and Billie Jo and Jay Beets all of Kirksville, MO; two brothers, Ronald McKim of Kirksville, MO and Butch McKim of Novinger, MO; one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Billy was employed thirty-seven years at Florsheim Shoe Factory until retiring in 1984 due to ill health.

It was Billy’s wish to be cremated and no service be held.

Arrangements were taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
