Lonnie Gean Earl Sizemore, 61, of Worthington, Missouri, passed away Sunday (January 5, 2014) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of Alfred Binne and Mary Elizabeth (Asher) Sizemore, he was born November 30, 1952 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Lonnie is survived by his wife Alice of the home; three sons, Chad James of Dallas, TX, Gary Dyer and wife Heidiof Spanish Fort, AL and Steven Dyer and wife Jessica of Pensacola, FL; two daughters, Lona Aeschliman of Memphis MO, and Chrissy Cook and husband Nick of Kirksville, MO; six brothers, Lee Sizemore of Moline, IL, Rex Sizemore of Kirksville, MO, Denny Sizemore of Lake Hills, TX, Ricky Sizemore of Brashear, MO and Roger Sizemore of Kirksville, MO and John Sizemore of Novinger, MO; five sisters, Janice Snyder of Kirksville, MO, Linda Orr of Kennewick, WA, Iris Johnson of Kirksville, MO, Elizabeth Kessel of Kirksville, MO and Teresa Kimmel of Kirksville, MO; seven grandchildren, Nichole Cook, Makenna Cook, Lane Gray, Marshall Cook, Paige Aseschliman, Makala Cook and Levi Aeschliman, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents.

Lonnie received his education in the Novinger public school. He served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973 during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, Lonnie returned to the Kirksville area where he resided most of his life. He was employed seventeen years for PSF in Milan.

He enjoyed card games, especially Texas Holdem and gambling.

Lonnie was a member of N.R.A., V.F.W. and of the American Legion.

Public visitation will be held Wednesday (January 8, 2014) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday (January 9, 2014) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Eugene “Butch” Pinkerton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Morelock Cemetery, northwest of Novinger, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Roger Sizemore, John Sizemore, Denny Sizemore, Timothy Sizemore, Chad James, Gary Dyer and Steven Dyer.
