Donna Lou (Starks) Holt, 75, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday (January 14, 2014) at her home under Hospice care.

The daughter of Herschel Ray and Letha Mayellen (Wright) Starks, she was born December 11, 1938 in Kirksville, Missouri. On May 25, 1957 in Kirksville, Missouri, Donna was united in marriage to Bobby Holt.

Donna is survived by her husband Bobby of fifty-six years; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Carol Holt of Columbia, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Bill Burton of Cassville, MO; brother-in-law, Joe Holt and wife Charlotte of Kirksville, MO; sister-in-law, Carol Holt of Kirksville, MO; four grandchildren: Alisha and Neil Dromey, Shaun Holt and Angela, Josh and Juanita Burton, Nicole and Terrill Craft; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Bill Holt and sister-in-law, Margie Sellers.

Donna lived her entire life in Kirksville, and was a graduate from Kirksville High School. She worked as a waitress for eighteen years and was then employed twenty years at Florsheim Shoe Factory until retiring. After her retirement, Donna worked at Vic Cleaners six years and was last employed for Weber Bus Company.

Donna had a great love for her family and will be sadly missed.

She attended the New Hope Evangel Church of Kirksville.

It was Donna’s wish to be cremated and a memorial service to honor her life will take place 2:00 p.m. Saturday (January 18, 2014) at the New Hope Evangel Church in Kirksville.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Donna Holt may be made to the Adair County Humane Society. Memorials may be left at the New Hope Evangel Church on Saturday or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO.

To the Donna Holt Family: So sorry to hear about Donna. She was always so nice to everybody when I was growing up. I have fond memories of Donna and Bobby. I used to deliver papers to Donna's parents house. May she rest in peace. God bless you all.
