Thelma Pearl (Schubert) Anderson, 96, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday (September 24, 2013) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Mrs. Anderson was born May 16, 1917 in rural Schuyler County, the daughter of Lou and Louise (Snowbarger) Schubert. On January 22, 1941 in Kirksville, Missouri, Thelma was united in marriage to Eugene Anderson who preceded her in death on August 4, 2007, after sixty-six years of marriage.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ethel Seamster, Mary Louise Yearns and Lucile Ikerd and her granddaughter, Holly Sprague.

Thelma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Barbara Anderson of Troy, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Wendall Sprague of Kirksville, MO; three grandchildren, Bruce and Kellie Anderson of Troy, MO, Christine and Kevin Schimpf of Raymore, MO and Corey and Teresa Sprague of Moberly, MO; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Sprague, Brett Anderson and Alexis Schimpf, and a host of relatives and friends.

Thelma had lived in Detroit, MI, Downing, Kimberling City and Kirksville, MO the past seventeen years.

She was a member of the Hamilton Street Baptist Church of Kirksville.

Public visitation will be held Friday (September 27, 2013) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (September 28, 2013) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Jackson officiating. Music selections will be provided by Joe Schesvold and Steve Lyons. Interment will follow the service at the Downing Cemetery in Downing, MO.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Anderson, Corey Sprague, Kevin Schimpf, Leon Thamke, Tommy Anderson and Ron Anderson.
