Waylon Michael Pearson, 33, of Greentop, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday (July 3, 2013) at his home.

The son of Dwight and Catherine (Watt) Pearson, he was born December 18, 1979 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Waylon is survived by mother and step-father, Cathy and Jim Russ of Greentop, MO; three sons, Sladen and Reece Pearson of Greentop, MO and Talon Pearson of Kirksville, MO; grandparents, Stewart and Janelle Watt of Greentop, MO and Carol Kehrli of Manchester, IA; three brothers, Dennis Pearson and wife Joanee of Brashear, MO, Jeremy Pearson of Greentop, MO and Lucas Pearson of Greentop, MO; one sister, Rachel Pearson of Kansas City, MO; a number of aunts and uncles; two nieces, Danielle Rice and Deanna Pearson; one nephew, Dalton Pearson and one great-niece, Peyton Rice.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Pearson; his grandparents, Smokey Pearson and Ron Kehrli and one cousin, Dustin Watt.

Waylon received his education in the Schuyler County public school. He was involved in the gun industry for over eighteen years, (the last several years with R.K. Shows in Manchester, Iowa.

Waylon loved his gun business, hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved the time spent with his sons.

He was a member of the N.R.A.

Public visitatioin will be held Monday (July 8, 2013) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel ofTravis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (July 9, 2013) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Greentop Cemetery, in Greentop.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Watson, Sean Pinkerton, Travis Welcher, Joey Billington, Damon Hammerling and Cory Waddle.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Waylon Pearson Memorial Fund. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
