Diana “Kay” (Morris) Sanders, 60, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Monday (June 10, 2013) at Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.

The daughter of Paul and Louise (Hendricks) Morris, she was born February 10, 1953 in Kirksville, Missouri. On June 3, 1973 in Kirksville, Kay was united in marriage to Barry Sanders.

Kay is survived by her husband, Barry; her mother, Louise Morris of Kirksville, MO; two sons, Alonzo Newman Sanders, and John Paul Sanders and wife Danielle, all of Kirksville, MO; two sisters, Vicki Watts and husband, Gary of Argyle, TX and Paula McCartney and husband Bruce of Kirksville, MO; one granddaughter, Lucy Jean Sanders of Kirksville, MO; her sister-in-law, Cindy Hart and husband Chuck of Littleton, CO; two nephews, Ryan and Brice; one niece, Briana; as well as several aunts, uncles and numerous friends of F.O.R.R. Local 19.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, Paul Morris.

Kay was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1971. She was employed for Lambert Mfg., Florsheim Shoe Factory, NEMO Regional Health Center, Twin Pines, Aerco “North” and last as a live in Nanny.

Her passions were Country Music, Nascar and she loved her granddaughter Lucy and dog “Princess”.

Public visitation for Kay’s family will be held Thursday (June 13, 2013) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

No Funeral service will be held and private family interment will take place at a later date at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.
