Genevee Chloejuel (Rowland) Beaty, 77, of Greentop, Missouri, passed away Monday (November 25, 2013) at her home under the care of family and Hospice of Northeast Missouri.

The daughter of Frisco and Elizabeth (Rowland) Richmond, she was born September 6, 1936 in Worthington, Missouri. On December 24, 1958 in Kirksville, Missouri, Genevee was united in marriage to Richard Beaty.

Genevee is survived by her husband, Richard of fifty-four years; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Lee and Lila Beaty of Kirksville, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Sue and Doug Watt of Queen City, MO; five grandchildren, Mandy Barrett, Abbie Creason, Bill Watt, Kara Beaty and Kevin Whittom; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Beaty in 1959; one grandson, Dustin Watt; two great-grandchildren, Braden and Taylor Barrett and two sisters, Darlene Palmer and Ruthie Winstead.

Genevee resided most of her life in Putnam and Schuyler counties and received her education in the Martinstown rural school. She was employed a number of years at McGraw Edison Company until it closed. At that time she went to work for Florsheim Shoe Factory where she was employed until her retirement in 1998.

Genevee enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and pets. She was a good cook, and enjoyed watching basketball games on TV with her grandson Christian as well as The Voice. She will be remembered for being very devoted to her family.

She attended The Crossing in Kirksville.

A Private family service was held today, Wednesday (November 27, 2013) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Interment followed the service at Lone Pine Cemetery near Martinstown, Missouri.

Pallbearers were Mark Winstead, Mark Nelson, Beau Curtis, Matt Creason, Shane Elliott and Charlie Mattice.
