Betty Jean (Hall) Sutton, 73, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday (October 23, 2013) at her home under Hospice care.

The daughter of Olen Alfred and Alta Mae (Sanford) Hall Sr., she was born July 8, 1940 in Novinger, Missouri. On August 2, 1957, Betty was united in marriage to Albert Eugene “Gene” Sutton who preceded her in death on December 27, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Marietta Garrett and one grandson, Kyley Sutton.

Betty is survived by one son, Earl Sutton of Kirksville, MO; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jody Busch of Kirksville, MO, Sherry and Matt Smith of Salisbury, MD and Anna and Eric Clark of Kirksville, MO; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Olen and Amber Hall Jr. of Livonia, MO, Bob and Carolyn Hall of Peoria, IL and Bill Hall of Peoria, IL; one uncle, Ellis Sanford of Novinger, MO; special friend, Toni Sutton, as well as a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Betty was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1958. She was employed at Lambert’s Glove Factory a number of years and in 1971 went to work for Hollister’s Inc. where she was employed until retiring in 2003.

Betty loved time spent with her family, playing Bingo and going to the casinos.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday (October 27, 2013) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with family receiving friends from noon to service time. The service will be officiated by Reverend Jim Bolin. Interment will follow the service at Ownbey Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Terry Stewart, Rick Robinson, Doug Zimmerman, Allen Busch, Brandon Clark and EZ Sevits. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Hall, Jeff Hall, Billy Sutton, Jason Sutton and Jevin Burgess.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Betty Sutton Memorial Fund. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
