Joyce (Cunningham) Sharp, 78, of Hannibal, Missouri, formerly of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Wednesday (January 30, 2013) at her home under Hospice care.

The daughter of Kenneth and Anna Marie (Kelso) Cunningham, she was born August 13, 1934 in Novinger, Missouri. On June 22, 1952 in Novinger, Missouri, Joyce was united in marriage to Eldon Sharp.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Eldon of the home; her mother, Marie Cunningham of Novinger, MO; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Mary Sharp of Omaha, NE and Terry and Teresa Sharp of Novinger, MO; one brother, Dennis Cunningham of Kirksville, MO; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Michael Cunningham; one sister, Kenna Lynn Cunningham and one great grandson.

Joyce was a graduate from Novinger High School with the Class of 1952. She then graduated from Kirksville College of Cosmetology. Joyce was employed a number of years for Adair County Family Services. She then owned and operated a beauty shop in Novinger for ten years, before moving to Hannibal, Missouri in 1978. Joyce worked for the Economic Development Department in Marion County until retiring.

Joyce was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church of Novinger.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (February 2, 2013) at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Father Bill Kottenstette and Father Chris Cordes presiding. Entombment will follow the service at Maple Hills Mausoleum in Kirksville.

Family will receive friends one hour before service time on Saturday (February 2, 2013) in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Jason Stewart, Tim Murphy, Jeff Sharp, Jared Sharp, JR Cunningham and Brian Wilson.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Joyce Sharp may be made to Community Loving Care Hospice or to Novinger Planned Progress. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
