Bonita “Jean” Grgurich, 83, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Sunday (April 29, 2012) at her home.

The daughter of Henry and Bernice (Suhr) Daubresse, she was born August 24, 1928 in Macon County, Missouri. On May 5, 1950 in Kirksville, Missouri, Jean was united in marriage to Anthony “Tony” Grgurich.

Jean is survived by her husband Tony of sixty-one years; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kathy Grgurich of Novinger, MO, and Larry and Linda Grgurich of Kirksville, MO; one brother, Henry Daubresse and wife Jill of Kansas City, MO; four grandsons, Eric Grgurich and wife, Tara, Clint Grgurich and wife, Alicia all of Novinger, MO, Nick Grgurich and wife, LeAnn of Charleston, S.C. and Neal Grgurich of Camdenton, MO; one granddaughter, Natalie McBride and husband, Jason of Clever, MO; twelve great-grandchildren, Bailey, Breanna, Bryleigh, Holly, Erica, Audrey, Serenity, Noah, Victoria, Isabella, Astoria and Alexanoria; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jean resided most of her life in Adair County and was a graduate from Kirksville High School. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother and was content with the simple pleasures of life, the farm and her family.

She was a past President of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, PTA member and Den mother with Cub Scouts. Jean was also a long time member of St. Rose Catholic Church of Novinger.

Public visitation will be held Friday (May 4, 2012) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday (May 5, 2012) at St. Rose Catholic Church in Novinger. Music selections “How Great Thou Art” and “In the Garden” will be provided by Twila Jones, who will be accompanied by Dianthe Cable, organist. Interment will follow the service at Shibley’s Point Cemetery, north of Novinger, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Eric Grgurich, Clint Grgurich, Eugene Grgurich, Nick Grgurich, Neal Grgurich and Frank Grgurich. Honorary bearers will be her nieces and nephews.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Jean Grgurich may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church or to the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Memorials may be left or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
