Joella Fern (Treasure) Janes, 85, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday (December 19, 2012) at her home.

The daughter of Vere and Mona Mae (Vittitoe) Treasure, she was born December 17, 1927 in Kirksville, Missouri. On December 1, 1951 in Harrison, Arkansas, Joella was united in marriage to Leonard Mearl Janes who preceded her in death on December 24, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two great grandchildren, Jesse Cain Neal and Lyla Hoffman; two brothers; three sisters, and one daughter-in-law.

Joella is survived by one son, Scotty Janes of Macon, MO; three daughters, Becky Janes, Joni Hoffman and Mona Wray all of Kirksville, MO; one brother, Bill Treasure of Kirksville, MO; two sisters, Betty Crane of Jefferson City, MO and Doris Yager of Carrolton, MO; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Joella was a life long resident of Adair County.

Graveside services were held 3:00 p.m. today, Friday (December 21, 2012) at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
