Terry James Filkins, 67, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday (February 4, 2014) at the University Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The son of Herman Owen and Jewell Vivian (Dunkle) Filkins, he was born (September 10, 1946) in Kirksville, Missouri.

Terry is survived by mother, Jewell Filkins of Kirksville, MO; one son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Jodi Roberts of Lancaster, MO; three grandchildren, Tinley, Taylor and Halle Roberts, and one aunt, Dorthy Bogle of Drakesville, IA.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Terry resided his entire life in Lancaster and Kirksville, Missouri. He received his education in the Lancaster public schools.

Terry farmed and trucked most of his life and enjoyed tractor pulling, hunting, fishing and NASCAR.

He was a member of the Kirksville Moose Lodge #1751.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday (February 7, 2014) at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating.

Family will receive friends for one hour before going to the graveside service on Friday (February 7, 2014) in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
