Shirley Ann (Rozenboom) Blom, 60, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday (April 12, 2013) at her home surrounded by family.

The daughter of Joe and Gertrude (Van Maanen) Rozenboom, she was born August 20, 1952 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Shirley is survived by four sons and a daughter-in-law, Timothy Guyer of New Sharon, IA, Stuart Blom and Rick Newcomb of Manitou Springs, CO, Jason and Michelle Blom of Moro, IL and Matt Blom of Knoxville, IA; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Geneva Rozenboom of Peoria, IA, Marvin and Jean Rozenboom of Lacey, IA, Ron and Marilyn Rozenboom of Rose Hill, IA, Ed and Mary Rozenboom of Oskaloosa, IA, Irvin and Kathy Rozenboom of Des Moines, IA; one sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Bill Wilder of Olathe, KS; seven grandchildren, Paula Morrison, Emily, Leslie, Konner, and Kameron Guyer, KayLeigh Sanders and Jacob Sanders, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and brother-in-law, Eunice and Don Vos; two infant brothers and one grandson, Kolby Guyer.

Shirley was a graduate from Pella Christian High School in Pella, Iowa. She drove a school bus for twenty years for the Pella Community School District until retiring.

Her hobbies included singing, playing the piano, buck skinning, camping and watching Andy Griffith reruns. Shirley also loved hanging out with people and making them laugh. Her time spent with her family and friends was one of her greatest joys.

Shirley attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Kirksville.

It was Shirley’s wish to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday (April 15, 2013) at the First Church of the Nazarene in Kirksville, with Pastor Bob Price officiating.

Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Monday (April 15, 2013) at the Highland Cemetery in New Sharon, Iowa.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Shirley may be made to United Cerebral Palsy. Memorials may be left at the First Church of the Nazarene or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
