Clarence Robert Bell, 93, of Macon, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Macon Health Care Center.

The son of Benny Leroy and Erma (Phillips) Bell, he was born May 7, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois.

Clarence is survived by five brothers, Kenny Bell of Kirksville, MO, Gail (Debbie) Bell of Linneus, MO, Dale (Tess) Bell of Kirksville, MO, Ronnie Bell of Columbia, MO, and George (Dorothy) Bell of Kirksville, MO; two sisters, Laura (Darrell) Durham of Kirksville, MO, and Sharon (Alvin) Riley of Moberly, MO; sister-in-law, Carol Bell of Clark, MO, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Bell.

Clarence received his education in Chicago, Illinois. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 2/28/1945 to 7/23/1946 during WWII. After being honorably discharged Clarence work a number of years as a plant guard for the U.S. Navy. He worked for Barnum and Bailey Circus as a clown for a number of years, enjoyed art painting, bowling, dancing, and Bingo. Clarence always loved time spent with his nieces and nephews.

He had resided in Missouri for the past thirty-three years and was a member of the Macon Assembly of God Church.

Graveside services with military honors will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri, under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
