Olive “Ollie” Allene Solomon, 81, of Downing, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Schuyler County Nursing Home.

Ollie was born on November 10, 1944, in Kirksville, Missouri, to Bina and Hadie Sizemore. On May 1, 1966, she married McArther Solomon, who survives and resides at Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Morrow; her parents; and nine siblings, Alfred, Fern, Albert, Jack, Gilbert, Francis, Beulah, Kay and Janet.

Ollie is survived by her children, Tracy Gibson, Michael Solomon, Nancy Pfaffle and husband Curtis Pfaffle, Tara Farley and husband Tom Farley, and Laura Blodgett; sister-in-law, Faye Elvington; grandchildren Jesse Hodges, Kerri Myers, Kristyn Gibson, Jaydon Solomon, Grant Pfaffle, Grace Pfaffle, Kaytie Farley, Baylie Farley-Wood, Logan Farley, Misty Sprague, Ben Western, and Zack Western; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She spent her years living in Adair and Schuyler counties fulfilling a life-long calling to care for others. She worked at the Schuyler County Nursing Home, retiring after over 20 years of service receiving her CNA and CMA certifications. She was an avid reader with a deep love for animals, baseball, Pepsi, and music.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri, with interment following at Lone Pine Cemetery in Martinstown, Missouri.

Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel and family and friends are welcome.
