Mary Frances (Danner) Cassady, 89, of Queen City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Schuyler County Nursing Home.

Born June 29, 1936 in Atlanta, Missouri, Mary was the daughter of James Franklin and Delma Louise (Wellman) Danner. On May 26, 1956 in Kirksville, Missouri, Mary was united in marriage to Donald Cassady who preceded her in death on March 7, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Dauna Rae Cassady; one grandson, Jacob Nance; to sisters, Joyce Sauer and Laura Faye Danner; and one brother Ronald in infancy.

Mary is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Tracy Cassady of Kirksville, MO; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ronda and Darrel Nance of Kahoka, MO, and Robin Cassady of Hannibal, MO; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Nancy Danner of Booneville, MO, Garry Danner and (Mettie Davis) of Kirksville, MO, and Bill and Carol Danner of Edgerton, KS; one sister, Delma Larsen of Monroe, WA; nine grandchildren, Dawn Cassady, Derick Cassady, Dustin Sapp, Shanna Payton, Devin Cassady, Shaunie Cassady, Kirk Alwardt, Jessica Holtzscher, and Cody Nance; fifteen great-grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was a graduate from Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Missouri. She was employed at Lambert Glove Factory in Kirksville, before going to work at Hollister, Inc. retiring in 2001, after being a union steward. She was a member of the Novinger Methodist Church, member of the Novinger Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, member of P.T.A., member of Novinger Town & Country 4-H, and member of the Liberty Home Makers. Mary also enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards, leading exercise class and other types of community service.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2026 with family receiving friends starting at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Inurnment will follow at Pinkerton Cemetery, south of Novinger, Missouri.

Memorial donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Pinkerton Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
