William Richard Cullers, 83, of Queen City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.
William was born September 11, 1942 in Knox County, Missouri, the son of Robert Harry and Mable Mae (Barnes) Cullers. On November 9, 1964 in Hurdland, Missouri, William was united in marriage to Doris Jean Spray who preceded him in death on October 10, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his six children, William Christopher Cullers, Richard Eugene Cullers, William Edward Cullers, Rhonda Bernice Cullers, Randall Bruce Cullers and Richard Brian Cullers; four brothers, Paul Raymond Cullers, Larry Francis Cullers, Robert Dale Cullers, and Glen Leon Cullers.
William is survived by seven children, Bobby (Kimberly) Spray of Tioga, IL, Raychelle Love of Glenwood, MO, Radonna (Robert) Arnold of Queen City, MO, Robin Seavey of Greentop, MO, Ben Cullers of Queen City, MO, and Renee (Lee) Collis of Laclede, MO; two sisters, Wilma Pearl Funk of Glenwood, MO, and Mary Margaret Jobson of Keokuk, IA; twenty-three grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew, David, Taylor, Riley, Colby, Miracle, Christian, Christopher, Chance, Desiraee, Kyra, Xavia, Pheonyx, Wayne, Victor, Edgar, Taz, Tazlene, Richlene, Faith, Phobe, and Fanchine; twelve great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Theseus, Charlea, Ainsley, Ave, Christopher, Jase, Penelope, Colter, Waylon, Cedrik, and William; as well as two brothers-in-law, Eugene (Lila) Spray of Baring, MO, and Alvin (Sherry) Spray of Keokuk, IA.
William was raised in Knox County, Missouri where he attended grade school at Pleasant Valley School and Oklahoma School. He later graduated from Ewing High School with the Class of 1961. While attending high school William worked for Francis and Genvenia Kurt and their daughter Norene who he called his Foster Mom, Dad, and sister. He worked later at Guys-Food, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri, at Century Steps in Kirksville, Missouri, took care of the Senior Housing Association in Greentop, Missouri, and worked for Premium Standard Farms in Milan, Missouri until his retirement.
William loved raising gardens, flowers, mowing, and his animals.
William cherished taking care of his wife Doris until her death and caring for his son Richard Brian.
William was a true believer of the Bible and was saved in 1957 in Lewistown, Missouri where he was a member of the Christian Church.
Public visitation will be held Sunday, March 1, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2026 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Burkholder officiating. Interment will follow at Bible Grove Cemetery in Bible Grove, Missouri.
