David Joe Fleak

David Joe Fleak, 85, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
Born December 27, 1940 in Hurdland, Missouri, David was the late son of Joseph Leroy and Willa Viola (Golden) Fleak. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Fleak, and one sister, Margaret Fetters. On August 17, 1963 in Edina, Missouri, David was united in marriage to Sharon Ann Hall.
David is survived by his wife Sharon of sixty-two years; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Nicole Fleak of LaPlata, MO; two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary and Jeff Perrin of Rogers, AR, and Cathy Fleak of Lowell, AR; one brother, Alex Fleak of Kirksville, MO; four grandchildren, Zach (Taylor) Fleak, and Andrew (Addison) Fleak all of LaPlata, MO, and Austin Perrin and Evan Perrin of Rogers, AR; two great-grandchildren, James Barrett and Kopelyn Elaine Fleak all of LaPlata, MO; as well as three nephews and two nieces.
David was a graduate from Hurdland High School with the Class of 1959 and received a Business Administration degree from Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville. He was employed for Alan Myers Trucking Company before going to work at Burroughs (later Standard Register) until its closing. He later worked as a realtor for Heritage House Realty in Kirksville, until his retirement.
David was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church of Kirksville, member of the Kirksville Moose Lodge #1751, and of Knights of Columbus.
Public visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and followed with a Rosary service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville, with Father Joseph Luzindana presiding. Interment will follow Mass at Mary Immaculate Catholic Cemetery in Kirksville.
Memorial donations in memory of David may be made to Mary Immaculate Catholic Church or Mary Immaculate Catholic Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
