Patrick "Pat" Thomas Kriegshauser
-
Patrick “Pat” Thomas Kriegshauser, 65, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away on February 15, 2026.
Pat was born on June 9, 1960, in Edina, Missouri, to Carl Thomas Kriegshauser and Mary Margaret (Early) Kriegshauser. He grew up with strong roots in northeast Missouri and carried those values of family, hard work, and community throughout his life.
On June 10, 1989, he married Tammy Marble. Together they raised three sons: Dylan Thomas Kriegshauser (Molly), Mitch William Kriegshauser, and Vin Nicholas Kriegshauser. Pat was a devoted father who was actively involved in his sons’ lives, attending and supporting their many activities, including go-kart racing, football, wrestling, baseball, and golf.
He found tremendous joy in being Grandpa to his granddaughter, Mary “Mary Kate” Katherine Kriegshauser.
Pat worked 13 years at Knox County Stone Company; later at Lovegreen Ford, Hollister’s, and Standard Register; and spent 28 years at Sydenstricker Farm & Lawn as a mechanic, service manager, and parts delivery driver. He also served for several years on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Kirksville, reflecting his commitment to and investment in his local community.
A lifelong member of Baring Country Club, the lake was central to Pat’s life. His parents were members, he grew up there, and he later raised his own children around the lake. He served on the Board of Directors and has been a steady presence at the lake for many years. Pat enjoyed driving the boat and took great pride in teaching many to water ski. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time outdoors with family and friends. He hosted gatherings, welcomed newcomers, and spent countless hours socializing and connecting with others. The lake was an important part of the legacy he passed on to his family.
No matter where he was — at work, at the lake, or in the community — Pat built meaningful, lasting friendships. He was known for his reliability and mechanical ability, and he took great pride in being a true jack of all trades, someone people could count on to fix just about anything.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy; his sons Dylan (Molly), Mitch, and Vin; his granddaughter Mary Kate; his siblings Mike (Susan) Kriegshauser, Matt Kriegshauser, Steven (Lisa) Kriegshauser, and Ann (Danny) Bayles; his brothers- and sisters-in-law Tracie (Rex) Lingenfelter and Tony (Kyanne) Marble; his father- and mother-in-law, Terry Marble and Rose (Simmons) Marble; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Nick Kriegshauser; and his grandparents, Harold and Nellie Early and Stella and William Kriegshauser.
Pat will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his steady presence, his quick wit, his many “true” stories, and the many friendships he formed throughout his life.
