Larry Dennis "LB" Bradshaw

-

Larry Dennis Bradshaw, 67, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026 under Hospice care and surrounded by his family.

Born September 4, 1958 in Kirksville, Missouri, Larry was the son of the late Perry Leland and Ora Louise (Winslow) Bradshaw. He was also preceded in death by his step mother, Loree Bradshaw, and step sister, Beth Smith as well as his brother-in-law, Joe Gander. On July 27, 1984 in Kirksville, Missouri, Larry was united in marriage to Maria Gander.

Larry is survived by his wife Maria of forty-one years; one son and daughter-in-law, Drake Matthew and Audrey Bradshaw of Stockton, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Janelle Elizabeth and Mat Stephens of Kirksville, MO; three grandchildren, Luke Bradshaw, Kate Bradshaw, and Micah Stephens; one brother and sister-in-law, Perry Dale and Patty Bradshaw of Des Moines, IA; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Teresa and Russell Hettinger of Philadelphia, MO and Mike and Joni Gander of Aledo, IL as well as many nieces and nephews.

Larry was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1976. He worked at Pagliai’s Pizza for 20 years before going to work for the City of Kirksville. He was the meter reader for many years and was then employed a number of years as a water plant operator at the Kirksville Water Plant until his retirement in 2023.

Larry was known as a hobby man by his family. He loved trapping, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley or watching sports on TV, especially the Chiefs, Cardinals and MIZZOU. His favorite place to be was his little piece of paradise, spending time on the porch with his wife drinking coffee in the morning and a glass of bourbon in the evening.

He had a great love for his family and friends. Larry never met a stranger and had a smile for everyone. His favorite pastime was being Papa to Luke, Micah and Kate and spoiling them with presents and snacks. He and Luke would spend hours playing baseball and picking up walnuts in the yard.

During his life he was a member of Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, Thousand Hills Bass Club, Freedom of the Road Riders; and the Missouri Trappers Association, and the Knights of Columbus, as well as a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church of Novinger.

Larry, or LB as he was known to his friends, will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for family and friends. He was always quick with a joke and nickname and wanted to make those with him laugh. Everyone who spent time with him came away smiling. The world was just a better place with Larry in it.

Public visitation will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2026 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville, with Father Joseph Luzindana presiding. Interment will follow the service at Mary Immaculate Cemetery in Kirksville.

I worked with Larry at Pagliais Pizza for a couple of years back in the 70s. He was a great guy. Always cheerful. I ran into him a couple of times at Walmart in the last couple of years. It was always great to see him.. I had no idea that he was sick. You have my sympathy. He will be missed.

To the family, my daddy, Everett Farr, and Larry's dad worked together at MPL, now Ameren. I grew up knowing the family, a good family. I would only see Larry occasionally over the years, but always friendly and a smile. My sympathy to his loved ones, know you will miss him greatly.
