John "Yates" Chambers, 68, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The son of the late Clinton Dean and Edith Eugenia (Yates) Chambers, he was born May 20, 1957 in Kirksville, MO.

Yates is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Dean and Ronald Janes of Anabel, MO.

Yates was raised in Anabel, Missouri and later moved to Kirksville, Missouri to make his home. He worked at the Sheltered Work Shop in Kirksville a number of years, making many great friends.

Public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life at 6:00 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2025 at Hill Crest Cemetery in Macon, Missouri.

Memorial donations in memory of Yates may be made to the Chariton Valley Association and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
