Arlene Elizabeth Jacques, 91, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at Knox County Nursing Home.

Arlene was born on March 4, 1934, in Hurdland, Missouri to Albert and Bertha Diekmann. She graduated from Hurdland High School. Arlene was joined in marriage to Robert (Bob) Jacques on August 12, 1956. Arlene went directly into the workforce after her high school graduation. She held many jobs, but the one job she held for over fifty years and was known by many people around the Kirksville area, was the head cashier at Easter/HyVee Food stores.

Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jacques, her parents Albert and Bertha Diekmann, one sister Charolette Foley, and one brother Ernst Diekmann. Arlene is survived by one brother Junior (Nancy) Diekmann, daughters Bobbie Ann Jacques and Lisa Jacques, sons Marty (Tammy) Jacques and Jeff (Krista) Jacques, grandchildren Stephnie Stonecipher, Michael Wriedt, Spencer Jacques, Jennifer See, Dakota Jacques, Montana Jacques, Kelsey Sparks, Sierra Jacques, Jarrett Jacques, as well as nineteen great grandchildren.

Arlene will be remembered for her love of the Lord and her love for her family. She was an avid horsewoman and continued to ride horses until she was over eighty years old.

Arlene was a long time attending member of Faith Lutheran Church in Kirksville, MO.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2025 with family receiving friends one hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Pastor Elden Kohn will officiate the service and interment will follow the service at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.
