Mabel Mae Ruggles "Sissy Girl" of Macon, Missouri, passed away shortly after midnight on May 29, 2025 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
Mabel was born August 6, 2023 in the back of an ambulance 18 weeks early.
Mabel was the daughter of MacKenzie Goodhart and Brandon Ruggles. Mabel was preceded in death by great-grandparents Kathy Kiloh, Thomas Durden Jr., George and Rosemary Goodhart, and William Bork.
Mabel is survived by brothers, Bridger Ruggles, Brooks Ruggles and half siblings Jaxon Klamert-Wheelan and Ivy Klamert-Wheelan; grandparents: Julie Atchley-Goodhart of Kirksville, MO, Russell (Debbie) Goodhart of Edina, MO, Susan Ruggles of Macon, MO, Shawn Ruggles of Macon, MO: great-grandmas Carol Stacy of Macon, MO, and Barbara Saulter of Macon, MO; aunts and uncles: Morgan (Dylan) Roberts of Kirksville, MO, Matt Goodhart of Fayette, MO, Jacob Atchley of Kirksville, MO, Justice Atchley of Kirksville, MO, Journey Atchley of Kirksville, MO, Carie Hammer of LaPlata, MO, Sharie (Tim) Powell of LaPlata, MO, George Russell (Cassie) Goodhart of LaPlata, MO, Alica (David) Cole of Bevier, MO, and Dillan Ruggles of Macon, MO; and cousins Justin Roberts, Dawson Roberts, Riley Roberts, Macie Roberts, Carolyn Goodhart, Kinley Cole, Waylon Cole, Gatlin Ruggles, Lillian Ruggles, Harley Bryant, Mya Bryant, Jovie Bryant, Darvann Brookhart, Haiden Powell, Teagan Powell, Westyn Powell, Trista Goodhart, Greinlee Goodhart, and Rexlynn Goodhart.
Mabel loved her family and friends. She loved being talked to and sung to. Hearing her mom's voice saying anything always put a smile on her face. Mabel was a constant source of joy to all that were fortunate enough to know her. Mabel's smile lights up the room. Mabel's ability to be happy no matter the circumstances was amazing. An entire lifetime still won't be enough to get over the loss of Mabel.
Public visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, Missouri, with a Memorial Service following, with Pastor Tim Hodges officiating.
