Harold (Butch) Gene Bunch, 74, of Kirksville, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, at SLU Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born October 14, 1950, in Kirksville, MO to parents Harold L. and Lola Ownbey Bunch. On January 9, 1971, he was joined in marriage with Carol Jean Albrecht.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Nathanial Bunch, and his brother-in-law Goob Schubert.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, two sisters, Lillie Schubert and Lola Justice, three sons, Richard (Terri), Billy, and Ernie (Sara), a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces.

Harold retired from the City of Kirksville after 35 years of service in the fire station, public works, and street department. Harold was a loving family man who loved having a house full of people and a game of cards always being played.

Harold has been cremated per his wishes and there will be a private celebration of life. No public service will be held. Arrangements were taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
