Dannie Ray Jessop, 65, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the St. Louis University Hospital.

The son of the late Harvey Lloyd and Dorothy Aller (Terrell) Jessop, he was born April 10, 1960 in Ottumwa, Iowa. On February 14, 2007, in Greentop, Missouri, Dannie was united in marriage to Jackie Strahl who survives. He is also survived by two nieces, Donna Mendoza of Chaparral, New Mexico, and Shauni Sykes of Novelty, MO; his great-nephew, Reuben; as well as his brother-in-law, Jerry P. Strahl, of Kirksville, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Johnny Jessop and a step-son, Dana Strahl.

Dannie was a graduate of Ottumwa High School in Ottumwa, Iowa. He worked a number of years in construction. He enjoyed fishing, video games, eating good food, and hanging out with his friends.

Dannie has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
