Donald Wesley "Donnie" Childers, 92, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at his home.
The son of the late Curtis and Henrietta (Evans) Childers, Donald was born July 28, 1933 in Novinger, Missouri, on April 17, 1953 in Kirksville, Missouri. Donald was united in marriage to Ina Carol Rouse who preceded him in death in 2015. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Grgurich; one brother, Curtis "Buckshot" Childers; two sisters, Darlene Childers and Mary Jo Hardesty; and a granddaughter, Cheyenne Kuehn.
Donnie is survived by two daughters, Christy Fanning of Milan, MO, and Donna Kuehn of South Coffeyville, OK; one brother, Barney Childers of Pittsburg, MO; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; as well as nineteen great-great-grandchildren.
Donnie was a graduate from Novinger R-I High School. He served his country in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He then returned home and was employed with McGraw Edison Company, Kewanee Plant, The Creamery and last for the City Water Department of Kirksville.
Donnie has been cremated and a memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Alan Coonfield officiating.
