Marilyn Elaine (Lorence) Ratliff, 76, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 at her home.

Born August 30, 1949 in Kirksville, Missouri, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Johnson) Lorence. She was also preceded in death by one son, Peter Lorence. On October 5, 1978 Marilyn was united in marriage to Mark Ratliff who also preceded her in death on March 7, 2025.

Marilyn is survived by two sons, John Ratliff of Kirksville, MO, and Jeff Ratliff of Arbela, MO; five grandchildren, Chole and Gabriel Ratliff; Raven, Jackson Caleb, and Broderick Ratliff; two nephews, Stacy and Chalon, as well as her sister-in-law, Isabelle Jackson of Forsyth, MO.

Marilyn was a graduate from West Port High School in Kansas City, Missouri, with the Class of 1967. She resided in Independence, Missouri until returning to Kirksville in 1975. She was employed a number of years for KOH Hospital and then twenty-four years for Hollister, Inc. until her retirement.

Marilyn enjoyed bowling on a league and making ceramics. Most of all she loved her family, especially time spent with her grandchildren when they would visit.

Marilyn has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
