Henry "Earl" Turner, 89, of Queen City, Missouri passed away at his home peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2024.

The son of Roy L. and Myrtle Olive (Darnell) Turner he was born December 11, 1934 in Kirksville, Missouri. On September 7, 1956 in Adair County, Earl was united in marriage to Phyllis Marie Snyder.

Earl is survived by his wife Phyllis of sixty-seven years; one son Roger and wife Caren of Queen City, MO; one brother, Roy L. Turner Jr. and wife Carolyn of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Kathryn Vincent of Queen City, MO; three grandchildren, Cassandra Nicole (Kevin), Bradley William Earl, and Scott Dean; two great-grandchildren, Baylee Marie Turner and Layden Dean Turner; two sisters-in-law, Odelia Turner and Donette Turner both of Kirksville, MO; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Cody Charles Turner; six brothers, Leroy, Charles, Tommy, Donnie, Chester, and Clifford; and three sisters, Lorena, Levena, and Betty.

Earl lived his married life on his farm where he raised cattle. He served in the United States Army. Earl was a mechanic in Kirksville for forty-two years working for Esterline Motors and then went on to operate Troy Mills until 1990 when he retired. He loved farming, bluegrass festivals and anything that involved his grandchildren or great-grandchildren.

Public visitation will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Germania Cemetery in Queen City, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Scott Turner, Ted Thornburgh, Mark Bushnell, Henry Schubert, Eddy Turner, and Kevin Berhorst. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Vincent, Joe Vincent, Keith Turner, Steven Turner, Kory Turner, Josh Vincent, and Rodney Snyder.

Memorial donations in memory of Earl may be made to the Germania Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
